HOW TO CARE FOR NATURAL SILK?
How to wash silk?
Wash by hand only in lukewarm water (up to 30°C).
Use gentle detergents designed for silk or natural detergents without enzymes, bleach, or alcohol.
Avoid rubbing, wringing, or prolonged soaking – silk is sensitive to mechanical stress.
How to dry silk?
Do not wring the silk scarf or use a tumble dryer; do not twist it by hand.
Pat dry with a towel. Lay the scarf flat on a smooth surface or hang it to dry in the shade, away from direct sunlight, which may fade the colours.
Do not iron until the fabric is completely dry.
How to remove stains?
Act quickly – silk does not like old stains.
Clean stains with a soft cloth or clean sponge using lukewarm water with a drop of mild soap.
Do not rub – just gently dab. It is recommended to entrust difficult or greasy stains to a professional cleaner.
What else is worth knowing?
Silk should not be kept in sunlight or a damp place for long periods, as this damages the fibers.
If ironing, do so through a cloth (e.g., thin cotton) and use the lowest iron temperature, without steam.
Store silk scarves separately from rough fabrics or accessories to prevent scratches and fabric damage.
